Asian Markets eke out gains
Asian markets again trade slightly higher this morning as the Nikkei225 and Hang Seng post gains of 77 and 75 points respectively.
Investors await the outcome of the ECB rate decision this meeting where some expect a further 10 basis point cut in the rate or at least further signs of added measures to boost economic growth.
A more dovish approach is expected, almost demanded ahead of the FED meeting next week. DOW futures trade up on yesterday’s closing price by about 40 points in anticipation. Disappointment with the outcome could see markets head lower.
